Message from Kath Drescher, Head of Adopt South West, September 2023

“Adopt South West went live on the 1st October 2018. We were the 11th Regional Adoption Agency to go live and we are now one of 34 across the country. It has been my greatest honour to lead the service for the last five years.

“It is now time for me to move on.

“I proudly hand the service over to Amanda White’s leadership, in the knowledge of the committed hard-working staff, and families she will work with to support all our adoptive families going forward.

“We work with committed parents who work so hard to do their best for their children. Thank you.

“There is much for Adopt South West to be proud of. But for all the real progress that has been made there is more work to do. An organisation is its people, not just our teams, but our children, our young people and our families. I leave the service even more optimistic than when we started, as I know that in your hands, the service is in good hands.

“I look forward to watching the progress. My very best wishes. Kath”
