Finding a match

Once you are approved as an adopter we will immediately look to see if there are any children who may be suitable for you to consider

We will register you on LinkMaker.

Adoption play days

Adoption play days are organised events that give adopters the opportunity to enjoy activities with a range of children who are waiting to be adopted. Events are themed and provide a supportive and safe environment to explore activities. The children’s social worker and foster carers attend the event to support them. They are on hand to support couples and individuals hoping to adopt, and to meet and find out more about children while they are there.

Adoption play days are a way of introducing children and prospective adopters who might – just might – become their forever families. Play days are a great family finding opportunity that adopters do not want to miss.

We aim to hold several adoption play days per year.

If you’d like to attend one of our play days, talk to your social worker. Adopters can attend before they are approved but they will need to be in at least stage 2 of the adoption process, or have a confirmed panel date, and their social worker is confident they will be making a positive recommendation.
