Transracial adoption feature on BBC Spotlight news
Catch up with our transracial adoption feature on BBC Spotlight news with our local adoptive family and Kath from Adopt South West also explains more.
Children needing families from certain cultural backgrounds wait longer than others for adoptive families and we would encourage anyone to consider adopting a child from an ethnicity, culture or religion other than their own.
There are very few barriers to adopting. Being single, being over 50, a renter, having faith or being gay will not stop you if you are considering adopting. If you can open your heart and your home to a child, we want to hear from you. There are safeguarding checks and there is a process but we don’t judge by lifestyles. We will support you all the way through the adoption process and beyond. Make the first step to adoption and please do talk to a member of our friendly Adopt South West team today.
