LGBTQ+ Adoption and Fostering Week 2025

Today (Monday 3 March) marks the return of LGBTQ+ Adoption and Fostering Week. It’s the UK’s annual campaign to encourage more LGBTQ+ people to consider these routes to parenting and caring. Now in its thirteenth year, the week brings together adoption and fostering agencies with LGBTQ+ potential applicants.

‘Change Lives in ‘25’ focuses on the impact that adoption and fostering will bring to the lives of the parents/carers and the children involved. The campaign highlights this through a range of podcast episodes and video content rolled out across social media. On the website you’ll also find details of participating agencies and local information events taking place during the campaign.

While the campaign is led by New Family Social, we are one of the agencies working across the UK supporting LGBTQ+ Adoption and Fostering Week.

Listen to the podcast episode that kicks off this year’s campaign. It showcases a male couple who’ve provided a foster home to the same child in Wales for a decade, after he initially came to them for a weekend.

On the New Family Social website, you’ll find stories from people just like you who’ve adopted or now foster. They come from across the UK and each story is unique.

You can follow the campaign using the hashtag #ChangeLivesIn25 across Facebook and Instagram.
