DESCRIPTION:This model of therapeutic parenting is well established and we 
 always receive fantastic feedback from parents.\n\nThe course uses the Nur
 turing Attachments Model of Therapeutic Parenting (Kim Golding). You will 
 refresh your knowledge of Attachment Theory\, Polyvagal Theory\, and Compl
 ex Trauma and learn more about PACE (Playfulness\, Acceptance\, Curiosity\
 , Empathy). We use breakout rooms to provide opportunities to meet other p
 arents and practice being PACE-y using case studies.\n\nThe course is divi
 ded into three modules\, with module one helping parents to develop their 
 understanding of attachment as well as their child’s behaviour and their
  own. Module 2\, focuses on the importance of creating a safe base for chi
 ldren\, with module three focusing on parenting with PACE and how to respo
 nd to behaviours as a therapeutic parent.\n\nWe are very excited to announ
 ce a 12-week therapeutic parenting course facilitated by Jane Bowen\, Dyad
 ic Developmental Psychotherapist and certified Theraplay Therapist. It wil
 l be held online as a virtual course.\n\nThis 12-week course will start on
  Wednesday 9 October 2024 to Wednesday 22 January 2025\n\nEach session wil

 attachments affect the child’s developmental process.\n 	To help adoptiv
 e parents reflect on how the child’s early history is enacted in the her
 e and now and to increase their understanding of the meaning behind behavi
 ours.\n 	To enable adoptive parents to implement a therapeutic parenting a
 pproach to improve attunement and attachment.\n 	To reflect on the child
 ’s specific attachment difficulties and what this means for their parent
 ing and their family life in general.\n 	To enable parents to build confid
 ence in using PACE by creating opportunities to practice therapeutic paren
 ting in a supportive group environment.\n 	To enable adoptive parents to r
 eflect on their own attachment histories and how these impact their own pa
 renting.\n 	To promote self-care and self-reflection for parents.\n\nFundi
