SUMMARY:Therapeutic Parenting: January to March online evening course with 
 Cat Gifford
DESCRIPTION:Register now for our eight-week therapeutic parenting course fa
 cilitated by Cat Gifford HCPC Registered Social Worker\, held online using
  Zoom. A session will be dedicated to thinking about how to have life stor
 y conversations with your child.\n\nSpaces are limited\, if the course bec
 omes fully booked you will be added to the waiting list for the next cours
 e\, dates to be confirmed.\n\nThis course will start on Thursday 30 Januar
 y to Thursday 27 March 2025 (excluding February half term)\n\n Each sessi
 on will run for two hours\, 7:30pm to 9:30pm\n\nThe aims are to:\n\n 	To h
 elp adoptive parents understand how early trauma and disrupted attachments
  affects the child’s developmental process.\n 	To help adoptive parents 
 reflect on how the child’s early history is enacted in the here and now 
 and to increase their understanding of the meaning behind behaviours.\n 	T
 o enable adoptive parents to implement a therapeutic parenting approach to
  improve attunement and attachment.\n 	To reflect on the child’s specifi
 c attachment difficulties how what this means for their parenting and thei
 r family life in general.\n 	To enable parents to build confidence in usin
 g PACE by creating opportunities to practice therapeutic parenting in a su
 pportive group environment.\n 	To enable adoptive parents to reflect on th
 eir own attachment histories and how these impact on their parenting.\n 	T
 o promote self-care and self-reflection for parents.\n\nFunding for Therap
 eutic Parenting courses can be applied through the Adoption Support Fund\,
