SUMMARY:Therapeutic Parenting: in-person daytime course October 2024 to Jan
 uary 2025 with Cas Schneider
DESCRIPTION:This model of therapeutic parenting is well established and we 
 always receive fantastic feedback from parents.\n\nThe course is divided i
 nto three modules\, with module one helping parents to develop their under
 standing of attachment as well as their child’s behaviour and their own.
  Module 2\, focuses on the importance of creating a safe base for children
 \, with module three focusing on parenting with PACE and how to respond to
  behaviours as a therapeutic parent.\n\nWe are very excited to announce a 
 14-week therapeutic parenting course facilitated by Cas Schneider register
 ed Clinical Psychologist\, family therapist and Dyadic Developmental Pract
 ice (DDP) certified Therapist. It will be held in person\, in Exeter.\n\n 
 	Closing date for bookings is Wednesday 7 August 2024\n\nThis course will 
 start from Wednesday 2 October 2024 to Wednesday 29 January 2025. Each ses
 sion will run for three hours 10am to 1pm.\n\nThe aims are to:\n\n 	To hel
 p adoptive parents understand how early trauma and disrupted attachments a
 ffect the child’s developmental process.\n 	To help adoptive parents ref
 lect on how the child’s early history is enacted in the here and now and
  to increase their understanding of the meaning behind behaviours.\n 	To e
 nable adoptive parents to implement a therapeutic parenting approach to im
 prove attunement and attachment.\n 	To reflect on the child’s specific a
 ttachment difficulties and what this means for their parenting and their f
 amily life in general.\n 	To enable parents to build confidence in using P
 ACE by creating opportunities to practice therapeutic parenting in a suppo
 rtive group environment.\n 	To enable adoptive parents to reflect on their
  own attachment histories and how these impact their own parenting.\n 	To 
 promote self-care and self-reflection for parents.\n\nFunding for Therapeu
 tic Parenting courses can be applied for via the Adoption Support Fund\, s
