Non-Violent Resistance – for adoptive parents of children with challenging behaviour
11-week online course, with a follow up session, through Zoom
Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) is a simple and non-physical empowering method for families to connect with children of any age, with the aim to support parents who might be starting to see challenging behaviour.
This 11-week course is for adopters of children who might have had difficult or traumatic early experiences. Do you see physical or verbal aggression from your child? Or control or self-destructive behaviours? Is family life made more complicated by drug use, self-harm, school-refusal, anxiety, or oppositional behaviours? Our NVR group offers an opportunity to work alongside other parents with similar experiences and issues to develop confidence and new skills in managing challenging behaviours and creating stronger relationships with your children – for a brighter, more harmonious future.
Bookings are now being taken for the next Non-Violent Resistance online course with Rowan Stewart supported by Adopt South West.
This course is eligible for Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) support.
