Easter holiday event for children and families!
As part of our offer of activities over the coming Easter holidays, Adopt South West is excited to announce that we have a day of fun crafting activities in North Devon that we want as many of you as possible to attend.
Join us for a crafty day out this Easter!
We are thrilled to announce a day of fun crafting activities in North Devon, and we want as many of you as possible to attend. On Monday 14 April we’ll be hosting a variety of craft activities designed to engage different age groups, from little ones to teenagers, at a North Devon craft café.
Event details:
- Monday 14 April, 2pm to 4pm
- There are two sessions available, 10am to midday, or 2pm to 4pm
- Location: Check newsletter or ask when booking
- Hosts: Owners of the craft café, along with India Mort, one of our Adopt South West family practitioners
Craft activities: We’ll offer a ‘menu’ of craft activities, each specially designed to encourage engagement from different age groups. Once we have the final list of attendees, we’ll send out the craft menus, allowing each child to pick three activities. Each activity will take around half an hour, totalling an hour and a half of crafting fun.
Important information:
- Limited spaces: Due to venue size, spaces are limited. We ask that only one parent from each sibling group attends to maximise the number of children and young people who can participate.
- Parental responsibility: One parent must stay for the duration of the session and retain responsibility for their child’s safety and welfare.
- Refreshments: We’ll provide drinks (squash) for the children and young people during the sessions. You can purchase coffees and snacks from the café.
- Cost: We are subsidising the event but require a £5 contribution per child.
How to register: To secure your spot, please email adoptsouthwestsupport@devon.gov.uk with your name, your children’s names, and the preferred session time. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t delay!
Adopt South West team manager, Phil, adds:
“The owners of the café will be in attendance, as will India Mort – one of our family practitioners – to help and support you and your children. I would like to stress though that we will need one parent to stay for the duration of the session and that you will retain responsibility for your child’s safety and welfare. We will be offering drinks for the children and young people during the sessions, but we have planned the sessions to allow you to fit them in around main mealtimes.
“We are doing all we can to ensure as many people as possible can attend so we will be subsidising the events, but we do need to ask for a £5 contribution per child. Once we have final list of all children and young people attending, we will send out the craft menus with the children being able to pick three each. Each activity should take around half an hour so an hour and a half of crafting in total.
“We look forward to seeing you on the day, and if you’re lucky, we might even amaze you with a demonstration of our yo-yo skills!”
